Action codes determine the action that you perform on a lot when it expires. You use the Action Codes window to define lot expiration actions. You can assign a lot action to an item if you set the item under shelf life control on the Item Master. You can determine a default expiration action on the Item Master, or assign expiration actions on the lot master, or when you transact the item. The system does not perform these actions, but notifies you of the action to take on the lot.
Navigate to the Maintain Actions window.
Select New from the File menu.
Enter an action to perform on the lot in the Action field.
Enter a description of the action in the Description field.
Save your work.
Navigate to the Maintain Actions window.
Select the Disable check box to disable the action code.
Save your work.
