In the Merge Request Queue page, select the Smart Search method for the Create Request field.
Suggestion: From the Merge Request Queue page, you can also click Smart Search in the Create Merge Request bin.
Smart Search is a powerful search engine which finds parties that not only exactly match but are similar to your criteria. The available search criteria depends on the Data Quality Management (DQM) match rule that is assigned to the HZ: Match Rule for Identifying Duplicates profile option. See: Setting Up De-Duplication, Oracle Customer Data Librarian Implementation Guide. Run the search with at least one criterion.
You browse the search results and create a merge request either with parties that are in fact duplicates or with a single party that you want to cleanse.
The certification levels indicate the quality of records, and the meaning of each level is based on your organization's business needs. The status is also set as part of party maintenance. See: Maintaining Parties.
