About Sections

Sections allow clauses to be grouped together for logical display in a contract template or a business document. For each section, you can add subsections and group clauses as necessary. Each clause must be in a section or subsection.

You can manually create a section for the contract template or business document or you can select a pre-defined section from the Sections Library. If you pick a section from the Library, you cannot override the section name.

You can only add sections that are valid in the Library to business documents.

Note: If you have added a section to a business document, and you then change the section end date in the Library so that the section is no longer valid, the section is still available on the business document.
