Versioning Contracts

You can create a version of a signed Repository contract to reflect new terms and conditions agreed by the parties. However, if signature type is None then you can create versions of approved documents also. When you create a new version, the system automatically copies all relevant details from the existing version. If necessary, you can modify these details. The system continues execution of the existing contract version as long as the new version is in the Draft status. For example, the current deliverable notifications are sent out. Once the new version is approved and signed, execution of the new version (amended contract) will commence. Contract versions are numbered for easy reference.

Steps:

  1. Open a contract in the Approved or Signed status. For more information, see Searching for Contracts.

  2. Select the Create New Version action. You can create a version on approved status only if the Signature Type is None.

  3. Click Go. The system displays the Create New Version page.

  4. Optionally, modify the contract information. For more information, see the Creating Contracts section.

  5. To make additional changes, click the Apply and Add Details button. The system displays the Update Contract page. For more information, see the Updating Contracts section.

Note: In the new version of a contract, some contract details cannot be modified. These include contract number, contract name, operating unit, contract type, and parties.
