If a clause has more than one version in a contract template, Oracle Contracts chooses the appropriate version to display.

Clause With Latest Version Status = On Hold

The system does not display the latest version of the clause where the status of the latest clause version is On Hold.

Clause With Latest Version Status = Pending Approval

When the latest version of the clause has status Pending Approval, the following extra condition is evaluated:

If a previous version of the clause exists and its status is Expired, the latest version of the clause is displayed, else the latest version of the clause is not displayed.

Approved Clause With and Without Later Draft Version

The system displays the latest approved version of a clause if a later version does not exist in Draft status; if a later version does exist in Draft status, the clause text from the later Draft version is displayed.

Approved Clause With Future Draft Version

The system displays the latest approved version of a clause when the latest Draft version of a clause has a Start Date later than the current system date.
