Set up the Contract Terms Library.
Set the Use Contract Expert profile option to Yes at the site level.
To use the Clause Selection rules of Contract Expert on business documents, you must set up the rules in the Contract Terms Library and enable Contract Expert in contract templates.
Perform the following prerequisite setups, for objects to be used by Contract Expert:
Create and approve clauses. For more information, see Managing Standard Clauses in the Library.
Create and approve Contract Expert enabled contract templates. For more information, see Managing Contract Templates.
Set up value sets, to be used in Contract Expert rule conditions.
To set up Clause Selection rules:
Create and activate a library of rules and assign them to appropriate Contract Expert enabled contract templates.
Determine the sequence in which questions will be displayed when Contract Expert is used on a business document.
A Contract Expert enabled contract template can also contain standard clauses and sections. As with all contract templates, its constituent clauses and sections are automatically added to a business document when the contract template is applied to the business document.
Clauses or deliverables are not mandatory for Contract Expert enabled templates. However, they are mandatory for other templates.
