As part of signing or capturing signature information for a Repository contract, the following information must be captured in the Sign Contract page:
Signed Date: These are the dates that the signatures on the contract were placed, making the contract an enforceable contract. Any date in the past, present, or future can be entered in the Signed Date fields.
Signed By: Use this field to provide the names of the internal and external people who signed the contract. Since the Signed By fields are simple text fields, they can contain any name, not just names of system users.
Note:
The Signed Date and Signed By fields do not have defaults.
The information in the Signed Date and Signed By are captured per contract version, rather than globally for all versions of the contract.
Normally the status of a contract can only be changed to Signed when the contract is in the Approved status. However, users with the Administrator responsibility can change the status directly from Draft to Signed. This can be used when a contract is approved already outside of the system.
For more information, see the Signing Contracts section.
