From the Documents page, you can upload contract document files from several source locations. These files could be scanned images or soft copies of contracts and amendments, or any type of files for supporting documents.
From the Documents page you can perform the following actions:
Add New Document: To add a new document, select the Add New Document action and click Go. The system displays the Add Contract Document page.
Add from Previous Version: You can use this option to add documents attached to previous versions of the contract to the current version.
Update: To make any updates to the description or category of a document, click the Update icon. The system displays the Update Contract Document page.
Delete: To remove a contract document, click the Delete icon.
View Documents by Category: By default the Documents page displays all contract documents. However, you can use the Document Category field to select and view only documents that are assigned to one of the following categories:
Approval Abstract: This is a summary of the contract, used during the approval process.
Contract: This is a soft copy document representing the entire contract or part of it, created during authoring of the contract.
Contract Image: This is a scanned image of a hardcopy signed contract.
Supporting Document: This can be any document such as an e-mail, fax, image or spreadsheet, that is not considered a legally binding document.
The Documents section displays the following information for every document:
Name
If applicable, the system displays the Primary Contract Document icon next to the document name. The contract terms exist in an attached document. For the contract, this document is categorized as the primary contract document. An attached document is typically in Microsoft Word format, but may be in any format. The Primary Contract Document icon is not available for Repository contracts.

Category
Effective From Version: Indicates to which version of the contract this document was first attached.
After the contract is signed, the Documents section will have a PDF file for structured terms.
