You can define as many Extra Information Types as you require to hold information about assignments. There are two predefined assignment EITs:
Tax Information. You use this to enter the:
Trading name used by the employee. If the nature of person is D or K, you must enter the name of the trust to which they belong. If the nature of the person is E, F, G, or H, you must enter the trading name of their company, close corporation, partnership or corporation. You must enter a value in this filed if the Nature of Person is D, E, F, G, or H.
Employee Company CC Trust Number. This is required if the nature of the person is D, E, H, or K. This number is allocated by the Registrar of Companies and is only applicable to companies, close corporations or trusts.
Nature of person. This information is required for IRP5 and IT3A certificates and the Electronic Tax File:

Caution: You must update the Nature of Person if an employee had the Nature of Person M or K as these values are obsolete. Where the Nature of Person was M you must set this field to Yes.
Independent Contractor status: (Yes/No) Indicator
Labour Broker status: (Yes/No) Indicator
Legal entity to which this assignment belongs.
Note: If you want to include an assignment in the Employment Equity Workforce Profile report, the Employment Equity Income Differential report and the Electronic UIF File you must select a Legal Entity. You must also select a Legal Entity in order for an assignment to have a tax certificate.
Taxation method and pension basis. These are defaulted from the employee's payroll. You can change the pension basis.
Skills Development Levy flag, indicating if the employer must pay the levy for this employee assignment.
Note: You must set the Skills Development Levy indicator to 'Exempt' for Labour Brokers with an exemption certificate.
Employment Equity Status. You can indicate if an assignment is permanent or non-permanent for the purposes of the ZA Employment Equity reports. If a value is entered here it will override the status derived by the system.
EMP201 Status. Indicate whether the status is permanent or non-permanent.
Payment Type. Select the applicable payment type.
SARS Reporting Account Number. From the LOV that displays all bank accounts linked to the assignment's personal payment methods, select the bank count that you use for your general living expenses. You must enter a value in this filed when the Payment Type is Internal Account Transfer.
The application uses this value to determine SARS codes 3240 and 3246 when the Payment Type is Internal Account Transfer.
If you remove the account selected in the SARS Reporting Account field from the assignment's personal payment methods, then you must update the SARS Reporting Account to the correct value.
The tax year end validation reports reports an error if the SARS Reporting Account value does not match one of the bank accounts attached to the assignment's personal payment methods.
ZA UIF Information. You use this to enter the:
Non Contribution Reason Code. Select a non contribution code if you want to exclude an assignment from the calculation of UIF.
Employment Status: This field defaults to 01 (Active). You indicate if an employee is on maternity, adoption or illness leave in this field.
