GRE/Legal Entity: Entering Social Security Details

You must specify statutory information related to an employers' registration with the Social Security Organization. Some information related to the calculation of the employer's social security payments and reporting is also stored against this information type. The Social Security agencies require this information for Affiliation Process reporting.

  1. Query the GRE in the Organization window, if it does not already appear there. In the Organization Classifications region, select GRE/Legal Entity and click Others.

  2. Select Social Security Details.

  3. Click in the field of the Additional Organization Information window to open the Social Security Details window.

  4. Specify the GRE's unique Social Security ID.

  5. Specify the name of the person who has legal authority to represent the employer during any legal issue with a government institution. This is optional information. This overrides the legal authority specified at the Legal Employer level.

  6. Indicate if this is a transmitter GRE.

  7. Specify the GRE's economic zone.

  8. Indicate how HRMS should calculate the days per month or year. By default, HRMS uses the actual days per month. You can override the default with an average:

  9. Indicate the calculation method for determining your employees' Integrated Daily Wage (Earnings or Factor Table).

    Note: Changing the calculation method of an existing GRE requires some additional steps.

  10. Indicate in the Run SS Archiver by GRE only field, whether this GRE can be excluded when the Social Security Archiver is run for a legal employer.
