Each year, federal contractors and subcontractors whose contracts are of a specified value must file a Federal Contractor Veterans Employment Report (VETS-100). Its purpose is to help the U.S. Department of Labor determine whether Vietnam-era veterans, disabled veterans from the Vietnam era, and other war veterans are benefiting from affirmative action in obtaining and advancing in employment.
The VETS-100 reports you submit depend on whether you are a single-establishment or multi-establishment employer.
You submit your VETS-100 reports using any of the following methods:
Direct entry of information using the VETS-100 online service. Single establishments and other organizations that prepare and submit a small number of forms use this method. The online service can also be appropriate for organizations that complete large numbers of forms but at multiple locations.
Electronic submission on diskette. Organizations that have 10 or more sites use this method and submit forms from one central location.
Hard copy. Organizations that have nine or fewer locations can use this method and generate text or PDF formatted reports.
Oracle HRMS recommends that you obtain your VETS -100 reports by submitting the VETS-100 Suite of Reports or the Electronic VETS-100 Report. The application automatically creates single-establishment or multi-establishment reports for you from the hierarchy structure you identify.
For single-establishment employers, the application produces the Veterans Employment Report.
For multi-establishment employers, the application produces the:
Veterans Employment Report, which is required for each establishment with 50 or more employees
Note: The Headquarters report is produced under the same header as the VETS-100 Veterans Employment Report. It covers employees in the parent company or headquarters organization of your enterprise.
Consolidated Veterans Employment Reports, which lists by state details of hiring locations with fewer than 50 employees
Establishment Employment Listing, which lists by establishment in each state details of hiring locations with fewer than 50 employees
Note: You must either submit the Establishment Employment Listing in hard copy or include an email form with the Consolidated Veterans Employment Report.
For the hiring locations in your enterprise, VETS-100 reporting shows:
For each EEO job category, Numbers of Special Disabled Veterans, Vietnam Era Veterans, and Other Protected Veterans you employ.
Total number of new hires in the reporting period in each job category, and the number of new hires in each category who are Special Disabled Veterans, Vietnam Era Veterans, Newly Separated Veterans, and Other Protected Veterans.
Maximum and minimum numbers of regular employees employed during the report period.
