The Advanced Search page provides multiple fields tailored to each supported contract type. For example, purchase orders can be searched by the item description, and quotes can be searched by the name of the salesperson.
The Advanced Search page does not display contract types for which the Show in workbench flag has a value of N in contract type definition.
You can use the Advanced Search page to search for contracts by Intent and Contract Type. The intent indicates the nature of the transaction between the parties in a contract. For more information, see Setting Up Contract Types.
Your system administrator can define the contract types that your company supports. Also, the system administrator should use the Contract Repository Update Text Index concurrent program to synchronize the text index that provides keyword search on Repository contracts. For more information, see Oracle Contracts Implementation and Administration guide.
Navigate to the Contracts Workbench.
Click the Advanced Search link. The system displays the Advanced Search page.
Select an Intent from the list of values or accept the default. If Intent is Null, you can select a Document Type value as All Contract Types to view all existing contracts for a supplier in a single page, which combines contracts in Purchasing and Contract Repository.
Optionally, select a Contract Type from the list of values.
Enter additional search criteria in the General Information section. Depending on the selection of the Intent and Contract Type, search attributes are added or removed from this section.
You can use the Keyword Search feature to search for Repository contracts. Enter text into the Keyword field, and the system will search for it in the following fields: Contract Number, Contract Name, Description, Keywords, Version Comments, Operating Unit, Party Name and Contact Name. The results will be ranked by relevance. Keyword Search supports Oracle Text query operators, such as AND, OR and % (wildcard).
For more information, see the Oracle Text Reference Guide.
Click Go. The system displays the information for contracts that match your search criteria.
To view details for a contract, click the Contract Number link. The system displays the Contract Details page.
