From the Parties and Contacts page you can define multiple parties for a contract and multiple contacts for every party.
The internal party is set and displayed based on the Organization field of the contract. For more information, see the Creating Contracts section. The internal party cannot be removed or updated. For the internal party, the contacts available for selection are the employees of the legal entity. For the external party, the contacts available for selection are the known contacts for that company. New contacts can be created for the external party if necessary. For contracts with the Buy intent, contacts can be created or added only if a Site has been selected.
Use the following buttons to add a party or contact:
Add Party: If you click this button, the system displays the Add Party page. You can use this page to add external parties to the contract. For more information, see the Add Party page.
Add Contact. By clicking this button the system displays the Add Contact page. You can use this page to select multiple contacts for each party. For more information, see the Add Contact page.
The Parties section captures the following information for every party:
Party Name: This could be the internal or external party name.
Party Role: The Party Role of the internal party is automatically set to Internal. The Party Role for the external party can be set to Supplier, Partner, or Customer. For more information, see the Add Party page.
Party Number: The Party Number is created by the system.
Address: The supplier site. For example, the location within the supplier organization, from which the address will be chosen.
