Person Extra Information Types

You can define as many Extra Information Types as you require to hold information about people. There are also some predefined person EITs. These are:

Visa

Alien Income Forecast Type of income a visa holder receives, as well as the amount and the year in which the income was received.
Passport Details Information about the visa holder's passport, such as country of issue, passport number, issue date and expiry date.
Visa Details Information about the visa an employee holds, such as visa type, visa number, issue date and expiry date.
Visa Payroll Details Information about the amount of income and benefit a visa holder receives.
Visa Residency Details Information about a visa holder's residency, such as residency status, the residency status date, the first entry date and tax residence country.

Note: If this employee will be processed in a payroll with data from the Oracle Payroll interface to the International Tax Navigator from Windstar Technologies Inc., you must select WINDSTAR in the Process Type field.

Visa Visit History Records a visa holder's visits to a country. The EIT stores information such as the purpose of the visit, the start and end dates of the visit, and whether the visa holder was accompanied by a spouse or children.

Tenure Tracking

Tenure Status Information about a faculty members' tenure status, such as tenure eligible, tenure denied, on tenure track, not eligible for tenure and tenured.
Academic Rank Records a faculty members' academic rank, such as Lecturer, Instructor, Professor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor.

Self-Service

Self-Service Preferences for Person Information on a person's preferences for online documents such as the online payslip or online tax forms. The EIT determines whether the documents are available online and in a printed format.

Note: You can also enter this information at the location, business group, or HR organization level.

These information levels are arranged in a hierarchy; if you define self-service preferences at the person level, the settings override any other settings made at the location, business group, or HR organization level. Similarly, if you define self-service preferences at the location level, the settings override any settings at the business group or HR organization level. Settings at the HR organization level override settings at the business group level.

Oracle Student System

Oracle Student System (OSS) Person Details Records OSS identification data for the student employee. The field Synchronize OSS Data controls synchronization of student employee address and telephone information between HRMS and OSS.

Ethnic Origin

US Ethnic Origin Records the ethnic origin information for IPEDS, EEO and AAP reports all of which use the Ethnic Origin list of values as the source for ethnic origin (and race) data. This EIT helps to capture more than one ethnic category for an employee.
Use this EIT in place of "Ethnic Origin" field in the Employment tab of the People window.
The US Ethnic Origin EIT is available in:
  • The People window. You can access the EIT by navigating to the People window > Others > Extra Information Type > select 'US Ethnic Origin'.

  • The People Management Templates. You can use the 'Enter Employees', 'Maintain Employees' and 'Hire Applicants' templates to capture the EIT information.

  • The Extra Information function in Employee Self-Service/Contingent Worker Self-Service and Manager-Self-Service.

  • Employee Self Service, the new EIT has been added as a new page in the basic details update area of Person Information.

  • A new page, in the Hire flow for the Manager Self-Service responsibility.
