There are special considerations regarding Contract Expert and the reporting of deviations.
If Contract Expert has never been run on the business document, the Deviations report displays the following error: Contract Expert has not been run. Please run Contract Expert.
If you validate the contract terms of the business document, the validation process will report an error indicating Contract Expert has not been run on the document.
If Contract Expert has been run on the business document, the Deviations report will not report any Contract Expert related errors in the following cases:
Incomplete configuration: You have not provided responses to all the questions.
Invalid configuration: There are system issues with Contract Expert.
In both cases, validate the contract terms of the business document to see the errors in the validation report.
If Contract Expert has been run on the business document, and you run the Deviations report, the system also runs the Contract Expert process. This evaluates Contract Expert rules and reports clause and policy deviations on the contract. If the results indicate that additional clauses should be included, some clauses should be excluded, or corporate policies have been violated, these will individually be reported as deviations.
Note: Contract Expert clauses added to the business document and then either made non-standard or replaced with an alternate clause are not reported as deviations.
