Navigate to the Numbering Schemes page. (N) Contract Terms Library (T) Numbering Schemes (B) Create Numbering Scheme.
Enter the Scheme Name.
Optionally, enter a Description for the scheme
Optionally, select the Number Clauses check box. If you select the check box, clauses will also be numbered in the contract.
Click the Add Another Level button, to define the first numbering level.
Enter the following information for the numbering level:
In the Sequence field, select a sequence from the list of values.
Optionally, enter an End Character. For example, ).
Optionally, select the Concatenate with Child check box. Selecting this check box would ensure that the child level will include the numbering of its parent during preview and printing of the contract. For instance, if level 1 Section was number A, B, C and level 2 Clause was numbered I), II), III) the document will print a clause in section with the number A.I. Note that the period character ',' in the middle is provided by the 'End Character' field that you have selected in the numbering scheme.
Click Refresh to preview the layout.
Optionally, add additional numbering levels.
