The following applies when the Contract Source of a business document is Structured Terms.
From the Contract Terms page, you can create a non-standard clause from a standard clause in a business document, starting with either of the following procedures:
View the clause first, by clicking the Title link for the clause, then click Update.
Note: If the Protect Text check box is set for the clause, you cannot update the clause.
Click the Update icon for the clause.
After creating the non-standard clause, you can use the Revert to Standard feature to revert the non-standard clause back to the latest version of standard clause in the Library.
In the Update Clause page, click Make Non-Standard.
If you are performing this update in a revision of a business document, that is, where the version number is greater than 0, you can optionally enter text into the Amendment Description field, to document the changes you are making in the revision.
You can also optionally select the Print Text check box, to enable the text of the clause to appear under the Amendment Description in the output produced when you preview the document.
You can optionally change the Text of the clause.
After saving the non-standard clause, you can use the Revert to Standard button to replace the non-standard clause with the latest version from the Library.
Comparing Clauses, if you want to compare the text in the non-standard clause with the text in the original standard clause.
