Clause Deviations Report Business Cases

The business cases for generating the Clause Deviations report are listed in the table below:

Note: The values for Deviation Category and Deviation Details are seeded, and cannot be updated; nor can you add your own deviation categories or deviation details.

  • You added a non-standard clause.

  • You made a standard clause non-standard, but the standard clause is no longer found on the template.

  • Contract Expert is no longer enabled (profile option set to No) and a clause previously brought in by Contract Expert exists on the business document.

Non-standard clauses Standard clause modified
  • You modified a standard clause from the template.

  • You added a standard clause manually and made it non-standard.

  • You made a Contract Expert returned clause non-standard.

  • You modified an alternate clause and made it non-standard.

Note: You can change the text of the clause or change the display name. Either of these makes the clause non-standard.

Standard clauses missing Mandatory clause removed You deleted a clause from the document that is mandatory on the template.
Standard clauses missing Contract Expert recommendation missing
  • You deleted a clause from the document that was previously brought in by Contract Expert that Contract Expert still suggests that you include.

  • Contract Expert suggests a clause to be included that is not in the document.

  • You never used Contract Expert on the document.

Standard clauses missing Optional clause removed You deleted a clause from the document that is on the template.
Invalid clauses Clause on hold
  • The clause version on the document brought in from the template or suggested by Contract Expert is in 'On Hold' status in the Library, but is currently on the template or Contract Expert is suggesting its inclusion.

  • The clause on the document was manually added from the Library and is not present in the template or suggested by Contract Expert. The current status of the clause is On Hold in the Library.

Invalid clauses Clause expired The clause has the Expired status on the date when the report was run.
Invalid clauses Clause not required per Contract Expert The clause on the document previously brought in using Contract Expert is no longer suggested by Contract Expert.
Standard clauses added Standard clause added
  • You added a standard clause from the Library that is currently not on the template.

  • You added an alternate of a standard clause from the Library. The standard or its alternate is not currently on the template.

  • Contract Expert is no longer enabled (the profile option OKC: Use Contract Expert is set to No) and a clause previously brought in by Contract Expert exists on the business document.

Standard clauses added Standard clause replaced with alternate You replaced the standard clause from the template with an alternate.
