You can manage contract documents as follows:
You can view all the existing contract documents for a business document
You can manually add contract documents to a business document using one or both of the following ways:
You can add contract documents from the desktop.
You can add contract documents from previous versions of the business document.
You can update the contract documents already attached to the business document.
You can delete contract documents from the business document.
When working on a business document that has already been approved, you can add new documents or add documents from previous versions; however, you cannot add new Contract category documents nor delete Contract category documents (for more information, see About Contract Documents).
Note: When you create a business document by duplicating an existing business document, all the contract documents associated with the original business document in the Contract category and the Supporting Document category are copied across to the new business document, including the system-generated PDF version of the original business document.
When processing a particular business document, click the Manage Contract Documents button.
This displays the Manage Contract Documents page, showing all the contract documents attached to the business document.
Note: When an Oracle Purchasing document is approved, the procedure of adding the PDF document is performed immediately afterwards. There may be a short time period in which you do not find the PDF document attached to the Oracle Purchasing document.
To view the contract documents for a particular Document Category and Business Document Version, choose the proper Category and Version from the lists of values and click Go.
The results, which are displayed in the lower section of the Manage Contract Documents page, show all the contract documents relevant to your selected Business Document Version.
For each contract document, the Effective From Version field in the results indicates the version of the business document in which the contract document was first attached.
Above the search results, the Actions field enables you to add a contract document to the current business document, either from the desktop or from previous versions of the business document.
In the results section of the Manage Contract Documents page, you can perform the following operations for each contract document:
In the Name field, click the document file Name link to open the document.
Click the Update icon to update the contract document.
Click the Delete icon to delete the contract document.
