Step 1: Set up Exchange Rates Required Step

To enter budget and cost values in any required currency, you must first set up the exchange rates.

Note: You only have to set up rates for currencies outside of the Euro Zone as currencies within this zone have a fixed exchange rate that is held elsewhere in the system. For example, if your Business Group is set up to use French francs and you have a monetary value entered in US dollars, you only need to set up the exchange rate between US dollars and the Euro to convert the value into francs.

Step 2: Include Training Plans in the Navigator Required Step

The system administrator performs this step.

Before you can use the Training Plans functionality you must first include the associated submenu on the menu. The submenu that you need to add is:

Step 3: Record Training Absences in Oracle Human Resources (HR) Required Step

You must record training absences in Oracle Human Resources (HR), to enable the statutory reports to identify the absences due to training.

Use the Absence Detail window in HR to record the absence details.

Step 4: Enter Company Information in HR for the 2483 Report Required Step

You must enter the administrative details of your company in HR, to enable the 2383 report to identify the company information.

Use the Company 2483 Info window in HR to enter your company information.

Step 5: Generate Measurement Types for 2483 Report Required Step

The 2483 reports uses specific measurement types for each type of cost that is included in the cost calculation for the 2483 declaration. You must run the Define OTA Data concurrent process to generate the measurement types that the 2483 report uses.

Step 6: Generate Measurement Types for Training Plan Report Required Step

You must run the Define OTA Data concurrent process to generate the measurement types that the Training Plan report uses:

Step 7: Create Measurement Types for Budget and Cost Reconciliation Report Optional Step

Attention: The 2483 report also uses this measurement type. You do not manually set up this measurement type if you have already generated the measurement types for the 2483 report in Step 5.

You must set up the Actual hours duration of class measurement type for the Budget and Cost Reconciliation report to work correctly. This records the actual hours of duration for a class. You set it up in the following way:
