Renumbering Sections and Clauses in a Business Document

The following applies when the Contract Source of a business document is Structured Terms. For contract terms in an attached document, use an offline application to perform this action directly on the document.

After making changes in a business document, such as moving or deleting sections and clauses, you need to manually renumber the sections and clauses, by applying a numbering scheme to the business document.

Numbering schemes are defined in the Library. For more information, see Managing Numbering Schemes in the Library.

Prerequisites:

You must be in the Contract Terms page to begin the process of renumbering sections and clauses.

Click Renumber.

Steps

  1. In the Renumber page, in the Pick Numbering Scheme field, select a numbering scheme from the list.

  2. Review the numbering scheme before applying the changes to the contract terms.

  3. Click Apply.
