This section describes how to search for clauses by specifying clause attributes as search criteria.
Navigate to the Clauses page.
Navigation: (N) Contract Terms Library (T) Clauses
Optionally, click the Analyze Contract Clauses button to open the Contract Clause Analysis page. For more information, see the Contract Clause Analysis page.
Using the Search fields, you can search for clauses by:
Operating Unit
Keyword
Type
Title
Number

To access additional search options, click the Show More Search Options link. The additional search options are:
Intent
Status
Start and end dates
Provisions only check box
Variables used in the clause
Used in templates
Default section
Show All Versions check box
Adoption Type (available only in local operating units)
To perform your search, you must enter information in at least one of the following fields:
Keyword
Type
Title
Number
Status
Start Date
End Date
Used in templates
You cannot perform blind searches nor start your search criteria with the wildcard character %.
If you do not select the Show All Versions check box, the system only displays the latest version of the clauses that match the search criteria.
Click Go.
The system displays the search results.
The layout of the Search Result section is similar for both global and local operating units, except for the following:
For global operating units, the results include the Global column, which indicates whether the clause is global or not.
For local operating units, the results include the Adoption Type column, which indicates whether the clause is Local, Localized, Available for Adoption, or Adopted.
In the search results, you can optionally click the Show link for a clause to display clause and instruction text. Click Hide to hide the text fields.
In the search results, select the check box for any clause and click one of the following buttons:
Submit: Submit the clause for approval.
Duplicate: Create a new clause by copying from an existing clause.
Create New Version: Create a new version.
Review for Adoption: This button is available only to local operating units for adopting global clauses. For more information, see Approving Global Clauses in Local Operating Units.
